Kents coast has long been a favourite subject for my oils. Yaughts became of interest when spending time in Whitstable over 10 years ago whereas people have become of greater interest since moving to Margate in 2015. Living so close to Margate Main Sands I’m lucky enough to find the ever changing composition of people, sometimes sprinkled like hundreds and thousands on the beach, to be of great inspiration for this series.
