Topic introduction

First of all students might work in teams to discuss some ideas and to inspire one another before sharing ideas with the group. Ideas can be as crazy, realistic/serious or funny as you like

(directing your own movie, create your own brand identity, seeking out a simple logo photography commission, a painting, a range of t-shirts, a fashion range. Or perhaps you woke up with a crazy idea of creating a giant cardboard sculpture, lit up with lighting and have imagined it in a setting of their choice and want to make it happen.

In some instances we need to get that vision into a format that helps others to understand our vision. Depending on who you share that vision it might need to be in an industry recognised format. Sometimes you might need a backer and sometimes you just need to cost out your vision and find a way to create and market your product. In other instances you need to demonstrate that you have the skills or have handled a similar project before to win the confidence of a buyer for your services. Therefore are there any gaps in your portfolio.

Examples of how this might relate to making and selling of a craft item, or marketing of your own services, or making an even bigger creative dream come true.
