Next Steps

I’m expecting to move into a new studio base over the Summer of ’23 and potentially set up a Community Interest Group which supports youth projects in the area. Above all, I’m still trying to achieve the perfect balance teaching/facilitating and  time  for my own practice development alongside care for a young family.

Short Term

New Studio Set-Up

I’m looking to set up a studio where I can run adult classes in the week and Junior Art Clubs at the weekend. 

Kent Arts Investment Project Completion

To work with various Community Groups including Quarterdeck Youth Hub to complete a project inspirting young artists and craftworkers along the theme of Making Margate..

October Open Studios

To showcase mosaics next to larger floral works. Also hoping to progress my Margate Main Sands Oil Series.

To feature some community works from the Kent Arts Investment Project Alongside this. Possibly also to build a display to promote Junior Art Courses.

Arts Council Individual Practice Grant
 Completing my application for the next round of the Arts Council Individual Practice Grants and or a Project Grant Application.

Establishing Young Artist, Craftworker & Designer Classes & Holiday Programs
Supporting local youth using my mentorning talents.    

Community Interest Group
Setting up a group which will enable me to pitch for larger project grants or to crowdfund to support local projects.

Series I
Exhibition & Workshop Program Build
To lead out from main Margate Sands Collection.

Series II Exhibition Build & Workshop Program
 To lead out from plant themed works but to also showcase alongiide Miosaic and ceramic pieces.

Go Create Displays
Building displays to promote courses.

Bolt On Exhibition Builds
 To develop a series of exhibits which can bolt onto Series II core exhibition to link with  Educational Programs

Book & Film Development Plus Takehome Exhibition Literature
 This component is fundamental to ensure that my vision of linking books with exhibitions can be realised and for the full impact of displays or educational spin-offs can be achieved.

Creating a Long Term Artist-In-Residence and Heritage/Education Centre
The dream of developing an Educatoin Centre with the perfect set up for workshops and building heritage and to link to the home of my characters!
