Kirsty Kennedy is a multi-discipline artist. She considers herself a painter first and foremost but also has strong environmental educational interests. Her work spans the development of paintings, conceptual sculptural pieces, book and film concepts plus workshops and talks.

Kirsty graduated from Lancaster University in 1994 with a B.A. Art, Design and Marketing and then worked in integrated advertising for 6 years before returning to her true self: pursuing her own fine art and media interests.

Over the past 20 years she has utilised knowledge from her together and coupled with experience within integrated agencies and as a fine artist to develop integrated strategies to teach sustainability|: from mass market/mass exposure displays or book and film concepts filtering down to workshops and talks. For 15 of these years she worked in studio complexes in South Wimbledon including Wimbledon Art Studios where she benefitted from exposure to a wealth of practitioners and the cross pollination of ideas and techniques.

In 2006 she received investment support for one of her book and film concepts.  Later in 2012she set up Go Create to develop the expertise to facilitate workshops that can springboard from displays and mass market material.  In 2013 she embarked on a masters degree at Roehampton University at the same time as also taking on her niece at 6 month old. In 2014 she then took on her nephew also at 2014 and dropped out of her Uni course due to sleep deprivation!!  In order to continue Go Create whilst also raising a small family as a single parent she expanded Go Create in order the she could work from home with the support of expert tutors to run ship.

Go Create grew with successes including the delivery of wheel pottery workshops in Facebook Headquarters and for Warner Brother Studios but also helped to finance a bank of materials and equipment having started with zero finance.

In 2019 Kirsty has wound down workshops in Wimbledon to draw course running closer to her home in Margate: to address a live/work balance with young children but also to focus once again on her own art practice and to ensure that her own art message and goals are achieved. Thereby reducing the number of courses. This particular website is being revamped to designed to reflect more of her own work and goals.
